[BLOG] The Webseries ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ Is Getting Tons Of Hype…Why?
I’ve heard about this webseries “Smoke and Mirrors” and I’ve found it to be getting tons of hype so you know I had to go see what all the fuss was about. To my surprised I like it!
The series is about an African-American filmmaker who just recently got out of a relationship. He finds himself trying re-acclimate himself to the complexities of male and female relationships, just when he thought he had it all figured out.
The reason I feel this webseries is getting great reviews is because it’s fresh and it’s new. Yet its old in the sense that this happens everyday in the real world. Most of us have dated at least one person for a significant period of time and when it ended we thought we had dating in relationships all figured out. Then once we got on the playing field we were lost and confused, like starting a new job without the proper training. In other words, it’s relatable, it’s real, and it’s funny.
