Blacula! Blacula is a blaxploitation horror film directed by William Crain. The film is about about an 18th-century African prince named Mamuwalde, who is turned into a vampire by Count Dracula. He comes back two centuries later and terrorizes residents of modern day Los Angeles. Released in 1972 Blacula was the first film to receive a Saturn Award for Best Horror film.
