[BLOG] Fan Tells Whoopi Goldberg How She Changed His Life.
Okay. This made me share a tear or two or three. Whoopi Goldberg went on a Dutch television show and was discussing the lack of black people in sci-fi television shows and movies back in the day and discusses playing “Guinan” in “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. An autistic man spoke up and told Whoopi how inspiring her character was and how it changed his social life. She goes onto the audience to hug him. Those kind of moments is why I love to do what I do. Touch people’s hearts, make them think, make them feel good. I know that’s a moment Whoopi will never forget. Check out the video below.
