The Webseries Era I jumped in on quickly. Being broke and shit made television a luxury that I couldn’t afford so I flocked to Youtube to get my fix. As vast as Youtube is, it’s hard to navigate to shit that’s actually worth watching. I’ve seen the worst of the worst and the best of the best and by far Black&SexyTV has been the most consistent “network” out of the bunch.

It started when I was addicted to “Awkward Black Girl,” that series told my life in so many words and I LOVED seeing a black girl living life without the pains of being a maid, slave or junkie. I wanted to see more of that and it came in the form of “The Couple.” “The Couple” is a charming web series about a black couple maneuvering through life situations as a unit. It instantly made me a fan. It was funny, relatable and engaging.

Since then they’ve released a slew of new series’, my favorite as of right now is “That Guy,” which is just brilliant writing and a likable cast, which is just as hard. There’s always one person on the cast that just irks the shit out of you and I can honestly say I love every character on that show.

If you haven’t watch a Black&SexyTV show yet, I suggest you start with “The Couple” and work your way through the rest. Every show has a little bit of something for everyone. It’s the best original black programming I’ve seen since the 90’s and they deserve all the support and love cause they are truly doing their thing. Can’t wait to see what goes on with their HBO, but I know it’s going to amazing!
